VCB Working Principle

The arc extinguishing principle of the vacuum circuit breaker is: like any kind of high-voltage switch, extinguishing the arc depends on the interrupter chamber. The interrupter is the heart of a high-voltage switch. When the movable and static contacts of the switch are separated, under the action of high electric field, the media particles around the contacts become ionized, thermally free and collisionally free, thus producing an electric arc.
